The gospel of the kingdom is the realm of God's active goodness in forming us in Christ as we follow Him. The kingdom of God is grand, majestic, and full of beauty. We come to understand the kingdom by repenting and simply becoming apprentices of Jesus in His Kingdom.  Dallas Willard from The Kingdom Life

One Question Every Small Group Pastor Should be Asking

Evaluation is the first step in fixing what is broken or redirecting the person who is creating a bottleneck in the small group ministry. Asking one simple question may be the question that leads you to take the most strategic and important step at this time in your small group ministry. Every small group pastor should be asking this question this summer, as they will begin responding to this question as they start Fall small groups. What is the question?

“What is one piece of your ministry you’re going to work to adjust over the next twelve months?”

This one question forces a small group pastor to do some things that will enhance the work for sure. Those things are…

1. Evaluate each aspect of the small group ministry.

2. Consider who on the team needs help in learning new skills, getting a new mindset, or being reminded of the vision of the ministry.

3. Unearth areas of learning the small group pastor needs to engage in.

4. Reinvigorate the small group pastor and/or small group leadership team that have become passive in the oversight of transformational small groups.
